rum running

rumrunning

i knew it was going to be a good drive when at the first intersection (michelson and culver), i exchanged thumbs up with a trick white 240Z crossing the intersection in front of me.

today my destination was barley forge in costa mesa, kinda behind the lab on randolph, for a growler of “the patsy”, one of the tastiest coconut rye beer’s i’ve ever had. it was a simple run, yet i tend to forget how the Z loves to just stretch it’s legs and cruise once in a while.

the trip went smooth and was without incident, but on the way home i did kinda start wondering about the open container laws and what would happen if i were to get pulled over. i think it would have been a discussion point, but i trust the officer would have been reasonable. “it IS in the trunk! really, that’s all she’s got!”

anyway, we served this desert beer for mom’s birthday and it was a smashing success! she really enjoyed it, and kept asking for more.
